😎 One niche, one platform, one offer (+FREE prioritization template)
Dalton started his business with “one niche, one platform, one offer”. He was able to land his first two customers with just five posts on LinkedIn 😲
Last week, I had an inspiring conversation with Dalton Danks, a speaking and communication coach for video content creation.
When he started offering his services, he didn't have any online presence. However, he was able to land his first two customers with just five posts on LinkedIn 😲
💡One niche, one platform, one offer
Dalton worked as an English teacher. When some of his students asked for help with speaking in front of the camera, he realised there was potential.
Rather than growing his new service on platforms known for hosting videos, Dalton established his online presence on LinkedIn, an under-utilized opportunity to post his tutorials.
He teaches non-native English speakers to focus on their speaking and communication skills. This way, they can use their storytelling skills whether they create videos or speak in front of an audience.
Dalton started his business with “one niche, one platform, one offer”.
The framework
If you're thinking of starting your own business, consider the following:
Which niche would you choose?
Example: Dalton's niche is teaching speaking and communication skills to non-native English speakers through video content.
Which platform would you choose to target your audience?
Example: LinkedIn is an under-utilized platform for video content.
What kind of offer would you build?
Example: 1:1 coaching to help individuals perfect their speaking and communication skills in English, with a focus on making video content. For inspiration, check out Dalton's Breakthrough Video Coaching.
