🤑 Create assets, not posts
Sahil believes we shouldn't create content just for the sake of posting. We should approach the process in a smarter way.
Today is my first day this week without a networking call or meeting 😅 I am taking advantage of every opportunity to talk with other people, as building meaningful connections is important to me.
That's one reason why I love hosting interviews every Thursday - I get to ask a lot of questions and learn from these amazing creators and entrepreneurs.
I had a fantastic conversation with Sahil Khosla, the founder of NoCode University. During our conversation, he shared a valuable lesson for anyone interested in becoming a content creator, educator, or entrepreneur.
❌ Posts are not assets.
✅ Blog posts, freebies, and YouTube videos are assets.
Sahil believes we shouldn't create content just for the sake of posting. We should approach the process in a smarter way.
First, build assets.
Next, create posts using those assets.
Sahil is building the NoCode University, an education platform. He is using all the courses and materials to create posts for LinkedIn.
He has created a checklist for his content:
The framework
What's the outcome of the post?
educate
entertain
inspire
What's the intent of the post? What will the reader get out of it?
What's the repurposing plan?
Course → blog → post (when trying to rank)
Course → post (when not trying to rank)
Are you trying to rank for this topic?
Yes
No
What are the keywords?
Can it be chopped off further into smaller atomic units?
What's the format of the post?
I would say this is the next level of content creation 😎 Sahil is playing the long-term game!

Here's a short video on how to find and call out social media trolls.
🚀 Twitter Space
My next Twitter Space will be with Julia Gifford, who is an owner of the content marketing and PR company TrueSix. She knows how to craft a convincing story to get publications in Forbes, TechCrunch, Wired, etc.
